Small is the New Big

Can you have your cake and eat it too? Lily Copenagle and Jamie Kennel did just that. Balanced functionality, design and being environmentally conscious. Here is their idea:

They would create a home that was big enough for the two of them, but small enough so that it would be easy to maintain, environmentally responsible and inexpensive to operate. And that would allow them to free up their time and funds for intellectual and recreational pursuits. Own less, live more: It sounds like a platitude, but it became their strategy.

Only one way ... have to come to terms that small is the new big.

Hopefully this trend will continue. Another example is what Graham Hill (founder of Treehugger) is doing with his LifeEdited project.
